The Plaza Pablo Neruda will be inaugurated in the Çankaya District of Ankara, the Turkish Capital by the Mayor of the District Çankaya, Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Eryilmaz and the Chilean Ambassador in Turkey, Mr. Francissco Marambio.
Çankaya is the central district of the Ankara City and it is an administrative district of the Province of Ankara. The population of Çankaya is close to one million people, but during the day time the district receives more than two million of the people, due to which the district concentrates the public and commercial activities of Ankara.
The President of the Republic of Turkey lives in this district in the so called place Çankaya Kösku Palace; moreover there are some best schools, a large number of universities, The National Library and the Mausoleum of Father of the Nation Ataturk. Apart from this, the district has many of the Diplomatic Missions.
Briefly, it is the heart of Ankara, the cultural, commercial and governmental centre. Many of its streets have the name of the famous painters, writers and philosophers. In the above photo, is the future shape of Plaza Pablo Neruda.
