PRESENT WORK EXPERIENCE:
 
Working in capacity of an Official Sommelier at Hotel Ritz Carlton, Santiago, Chile.
Also serving as a Director and Teacher at Sommeliers Association of Chile.
Director of Escuela de los Sentidos (School of Senses, Chile)  A school teaching the art of studying the tastes of the gastronomic consumer.
Director General of the Association “Mesa de Cata” ( Wine/ Food  tasting table).
Official sommelier at CAV, Club de Amantes del Vino (Wine Lovers Club). In charge of the wine tastings, wine descriptions, wine selections forming a part of the club and write ups on wines in the specialized magazine of the club.
Still continuing to assist in different wineries, restaurants and wine clubs in Chile. Working with a special panel to make product evaluations such as wine, beer, jam, mineral water, cheese, olive oil, coffee, tea, cigars, whisky etc….Also in line are various restaurants & wineries.
 
PAST WORK EXPERIENCE AND OTHER TITLES HELD: In Chile:

In career graph, has spent most of the time in Chile since 1996 dedicated as a Wine Sommelier & Wine Assistant. During this course has served as a Teacher on wines, wine taster etc. Rendered services at INACAP, Chile (Institute of Professional & Technical Education) in different cities, a few to name, University of Catholic, J. Elton Academy, Culinary…. Also assisted on wines to the Diplomatic Academy of Chile for four years , attending its official receptions and events. Worked as an Official Sommelier at the “Cumbre de las Americas”, Santiago, Chile in April 1998. Served as a Founder of the Wine Sommeliers Association of Chile (presently serving as a director cum teacher) . In Chile, collaborated with different magazines & newspapers such as El Mercurio, Revista Eiken, Revista Ya, Revista La Cav & Magazine Capital y Achiga. Collaborated for the Chilean Guide “ The Best of Santiago” which is distributed in all five star hotels in Chile. Has coordinated in different wine challenges in Chile and has been a part of some international panel of judges to name a few….Vinsud & Catador. Also collaborated as a judge in some wine guides in Chile.
 
In other countries:

Worked at Restaurants such as “ La Belle Etoile” . Collaborated with different wine magazines like “El Sommelier” & “Bouquet”. Served as a Director of Wine Exports in different companies in Spain  eg. Vinos Selectos Cavas. Founder of the “ Asociacion de Sumilleres de Murcia(Sommelier Association of Murcia)in Spain. Also taught Wine Tasting Coursers at Yecla’s University in association with “ Asociacion Murciana De Enologos”. Similarly has a wonderful experience of dictating courses representing Chilean wines world over, to name a few in ………
 
Uruguay: (1996 & 1997)

A collaboration between INAVI (National Institute of Wine & Grape growing, Uruguay) & Ministry of Tourism. Rendered five courses in Montevideo, Punta del Este & Colonia in association with the wine maker Estela de Frutos. Course on Wine Treatment & Restaurant Services. 
 

Argentina: (1997)

In Company CINBA S.A , undertook seminars on wine tasting and serving.

 

Panama: (March 1998)

Expocomer, a seminar representing Chilean Wines, in collaboration with the Chilean Association “Wines of Chile”.

 

Brazil, Porto Alegre: (1998)

Tasting of Sea Products & Chilean wines, a seminar for food loving businessmen, organized by Chilean Consulate in Porto Alegre.

 

Mexico, Guadalajara (1999)

“ANTAD, 99”, a fair organized by Prochile(Export Promotion Organization, Chile)
Here, served as an incharge of Chilean Wines.

 

Brazil (1999)

Wine courses and wine tasting in Porto Alegre & Bello Horizonte, organized by the Embassy of Chile in Brazil

 
United States (2001)

Vinexpo New York” , a seminar promoting Chilean Wines, acted as a representative.
 

 
Colombia (2002 & 2003)

Wine seminars in Bogota, Medellin, Cali . Also seminars meant for Embassies, Consulates & Clients, acted as a representative of Chilean Wine Brands.
 
Japan (2003)

Organized wine seminars in Tokyo, Osaka & Fukuoka. Was invited by the Chilean Wine Association & the Embassy of Chile.
 
Mexico (2004)

Served as  a Director of Culinary Arts School. Also invited to organize the fair “Diplomado  de vinos 2004-2005”.
 
EDUCATION & OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Obtained a degree of Sommelier at the Spanish  School of Sommeliers. Pursued a course in Oenology & Hotel & Restaurant Management in Spain.
